The latest CaHRU Improvement Science and Research Methods seminar was given by Dr Joseph Akanuwe on 15 May 2024 on “Recruiting general practitioners (GPs) for Primary Care Research – challenges and strategies.” Dr Akanuwe is a postdoctoral research associate at CaHRU working on a range of different studies since completing his doctorate.

The seminar covered background information on GPs and relevant recruitment methods and the reasons for GP non-participation in research. Joseph discussed strategies to improve GP recruitment and examples of GP related research studies delivered by the CaHRU team.
